About ink and quill
Our story began as two twenty-somethings who met in college as creative writing majors and bonded instantly. While the love of our craft was apparent, our tastes were shockingly polarized. One of us loved English lit, the other loved American. One loved romanticism, the other loved realism. One loved the mysteries of Arthur Conan Doyle, the other loved the mystery that is Kurt Vonnegut. Despite our different tastes, we always managed to find common ground (usually over some freshly-popped popcorn).
After graduating, one traveled and wrote and the other became an editor of a magazine—but we both felt that something was still missing. So, rather than continuing to wait around for our dream jobs, we decided to put our skills and passions together to create those dream jobs and to create opportunities for hopeful authors.
Being writers ourselves, we understand the difficulties of getting published, as well as the celebration that accompanies seeing stories come to life. We aspire to nurture and aid up-and-coming authors in the new era of publishing. There are always a million reasons not to do something; finding a publisher shouldn't be one of them.
What We Do
Novels
While we love all sorts of novels, we specialize in fiction, mysteries, and fantasy. In addition to novels, we love smaller works such as novellas, short story anthologies, and poetry collections.
